A Chilean Landmark

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a good week, I for my part I'm a little tired but is coming the long weekend and that makes me happy. Today's post talks about a landmark I like and visited in Chile. There are many places in Chile which I would like to talk about, but if I had to choose one of them would be the Elqui Valley in the IV region, I went two years ago, for a summer vacation I traveled with my parents and my sisters, those holidays traveled north to Chañaral, we stayed in Playa Loreto one week, and then returned to Coquimbo and stayed another week. One day we were there, we went to the famous Valle del Elqui, toured first Vicuña, a very tourist town because there lived one of the most important poets of Chile Gabriela Mistral, we were in the village, we went to his house that is also a cultural center Where his works are exposed.

Then we follow our journey to a village called Pisco Elqui, as the name says is a pisco-producing people, it was a magical place, very beautiful, surrounded by history and a natural beauty. There we spent the afternoon walking its streets, seeing its handicrafts, its gastronomy.

Until it was well done late and decided to go down to Vicuña, where we bought a night tour to a observatory called Mamalluca, at about 00 hours we went up to the observatory, it was one of the best experiences I've had since seeing all the stars, in the middle of the desert is something I appreciate to have seen, I would definitely go back to this place because I still missed a lot to go, but with everything I could enjoy it left me very happy.

Free Post

Hello bloggers! How's your week? I've had a hard week, but the weekend is coming and then I can rest. So, today I will talk about something that I feel passionate about.

Well, if I get to think of something I'm passionate about, I think it's reading. Reading for me is a habit I have since I was a child. I always liked reading a good book, a novel, even a magazine. Anything is enough to have a good time. But mostly I enjoy reading on the beach, when I go on vacation, there's nothing better than being in the sand reading.

I have many favorite books, but if I had to choose three, they'd be Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and something more national, Inés of My Soul by Isabel Allende. These books could read them over and over again.

Now, studying architecture, I have had the opportunity to read many classical authors of architecture, and I like to be able to study the architecture from the books, as it is a tool that helps us to understand how it has been evolving over time. The authors I liked most are Henri Lefebvre, Robert Venturi, Jan Gehl. All linked more by the urbanist side, which is the theme that I like most in architecture.

Currently I’m not reading any book, but I have fed up I want to start reading soon. So, What is your favorite books? Or what is your favorite author?

Fiestas Patrias

Hi Bloggers! Today is the day to talk about what I did over Fiestas Patrias. This is one of my favorite parties of the year and what I like the most do in these dates is to go to the Fondas. My sister, this year had tickets to go to the Parque O'higgins, But for some reasons we couldn't go, for next year will be.

For this, the Fiestas Patrias were quite calm, principally I was celebrating in family. It's very common that we have a barbecue, in fact, we ate roast EVERY day, at breakfast, lunch, to dinner. It turned out to be rather difficult at the end. jajaja

In addition to the roast, decorate the house with Chilean decorations, ate the traditional empanadas, we drank the famous terremoto, dance and listen to folk music, even dress up my dog of Huaso, all for these celebratons. So we were all those days, a few days we also receive some friends of the family, and we share, but always in our house.

Well that's all for today! hope you have a nice week, but first tell me what time of the year is your favorite? and Why? see you next week!!

Concert

The concert I'm going to write about is when I saw an American rock band called Fall Out Boy. I met this band thanks to my sister in 2010, they had come in 2008, and it was in 2014 when they returned. The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz, lead guitarist Joe Trohman, and drummer Andy Hurley. The band originated from Chicago's hardcore punk scene en el 2001, but was in 2005 they became known.

It was very funny because when I heard that the band was coming I was on vacation, and the only thing I wanted to do was come home for to be able to buy the tickets. The atmosphere in the concert was wonderful, an amazing experience because despite the long hours of waiting outside of ''Estadio Nacional'' and the chilly weather it was totally worth it.
The group was welcomed back with open arms, coming to the stage the band kicked things off with ''The Phoenix''. Next up were a couple of older tracks off, including “A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More ‘Touch Me’”, “This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race” and ‘’Dance, Dance’’.

It was a performance that showed Fall Out Boy's hard work, they tried their best to make the fans enjoy the concert. The combination of Andrew Hurley's intense drumming, Patrick Stump's guitar riffs, and bassist Pete Wentz's thumping bass playing and crowd interaction resulted in an excellent show. Surely I’ll attend the next concert they will hold in Chile.
