Well, if I get to think of something I'm passionate about, I think it's reading. Reading for me is a habit I have since I was a child. I always liked reading a good book, a novel, even a magazine. Anything is enough to have a good time. But mostly I enjoy reading on the beach, when I go on vacation, there's nothing better than being in the sand reading.
I have many
favorite books, but if I had to choose three, they'd be Jane Austen's Pride and
Prejudice, The
Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and something more national, Inés of My Soul by Isabel Allende. These books could read them over and over again.
Now,
studying architecture, I have had the opportunity to read many classical
authors of architecture, and I like to be able to study the architecture from
the books, as it is a tool that helps us to understand how it has been evolving
over time. The authors I liked most are Henri Lefebvre, Robert Venturi, Jan
Gehl. All linked more by the urbanist side, which is the theme that I
like most in architecture.
Currently I’m not reading any book, but I have fed up I want to start reading soon. So, What is your favorite
books? Or what is your favorite author?
